On this day, 365 days ago, I made a life-changing decision. A decision that would alter my very being and spur me onto bigger, better and brighter things. A decision that would lay my Greek soul bare to the world and leave me at the mercy of critical eyes.
On this day July 5th, one year ago in 2012, I gave birth to this blog.
What started off as a little hobby has become a platform for my literary and thespian-rary career goals and has opened my eyes to a whole new world.
To my surprise and appreciation, my tribe of followers has grown significantly from a tiny handful of friends who I begged to add me, to a varied, loyal and supportive group of fellow writers, artists, film-makers, actors, foodies and fashionistas who I in turn have shown my support to. I thank you all.
And if you are done throwing up with all this cheesiness I would also like to add that in all seriousness, this blog has saved me from ending up in a mental asylum on some tiny Greek island. For instead of physically venting my rants, raves and recipes, I have squeezed them out in the written form instead and avoided any clashes with the Titans (it is true what they say, the pen is far mightier than the sword).
So thanks to all those who have followed my blog and commented on my ramblings – I hope to continue to entertain you. Here’s to my first completed year as a blogger! Opa!
