Yet another month has whizzed by and the favourites just keep on coming! May has seen me online shopping again (!) nabbing just a few more skincare products and dinosaur accessories (!!!) So let’s see what made it into my monthly favourites list this time.
We’ve had the odd day of sunshine in London and the legs have made an appearance a couple of times! This means that I’ve been focusing a lot more on moisturising those unsightly dry patches. Throughout my pregnancies I used an organic beeswax product by Greek company Fysio. I’ve now started using their Body Firming Cream as my nightly body moisturiser.
The texture is literally like wax (as the main ingredient suggests) but it melts between your fingers and leaves my skin really hydrated. The original Stretch Marks Cream I used had a very strong smell to it, but the firming cream is much lighter and has an almost pepperminty tone to it. Whether or not this product tightens or tones is not really important but it definitely makes my skin look healthy!
As well as my body I’ve been looking to add a little extra something to my facial skincare routine. Everybody seems to be raving about Tata Harper who creates organic natural, non-toxic products so I decided to try the Hydrating Floral Essence moisturising toner to give my skin some extra nourishment. I searched and searched for a sample size and in the end managed to find a 15ml bottle on eBay (although I’m always aware that you don’t always know if you’re getting the real deal on there!).
I spritz my face before I use my normal serum and you can also use it after make up or to freshen up during the day. The smell is lovely and fresh and I like using the spray to wake myself up! I’m not sure if it’s really making a difference but anything that states it has ‘Beetroot extract which minimises the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while high levels of antioxidant vitamin C help fight against the ageing effects of free radicals’ just HAS to be tried!
It’s all about the golden glow as we slowly make our way into summer and I finally got my hands on Korres’ new(ish) Volcanic Minerals Twist Eyeshadow, Golden Bronze.
It’s so soft and easy to apply and comes in various shades to suit all skin tones. This particular colour is not too bright and can be layered with other eyeshadows to create a smudge-free smouldering yet subtle look. Bit of sibilance for you there!
My son absolutely LOVES anything to do with dinosaurs and at the VERY reasonable price of £4.00 (!) this dinosaur cushion from Matalan is quite simply ROARSOME! And it’s such great quality too!
Dark circles are currently the bane of my life and when I spotted these brightening under-eye pads by Spascriptions in TK Maxx, I decided to give them a go. I don’t usually use masks or eye pads but I am really getting into the whole Vitamin C miracle ingredient debate and the orange on the packaging just reeled me in. The pads are very soothing but unlike a normal moisturising mask which you would massage into your skin when done with, you have to wash off the residue after the recommended 15 minute treatment time is up. This is in case of allergic reaction! But I definitely enjoyed using them!
